From January 10, 2022 - in accordance with the Announcement of the Vice-Rector for Education of the University of Szczecin - didactic classes and other forms of activity at our University will again be conducted directly, in compliance with the rules of the sanitary regime. The return to the full-time mode is dictated by the obligation to provide students with the opportunity to pass all subjects in the winter semester, in particular practical exams. Intensive sanitary inspections will be carried out during the classes.

"Spotkanie z praktykiem" is a new series of the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin, during which virtual meetings with people, incl. from the world of business, sports or literature, who started their careers in the academic environment. The first guest will be Dr. Dominik Rozkrut - President of the Central Statistical Office. A meeting with him will take place on Thursday, January 13 at 4:00 p.m. on the MS Teams platform.

On January 14, the doors of modern laboratories and lecture halls will be opened for biology enthusiasts. For the 11th time, the University of Szczecin invites you to the “Noc Biologów” during which 20 observational and experimental classes have been prepared. The program will include lectures combined with a discussion on the restoration of extinct species, threats to nature, or matching people in pairs. The participants of the lectures will also learn about laughter therapy techniques and will learn about the role of parasites in domesticated animals and the prevention of infections. The aim of the action is to promote biological sciences, as well as to present complex phenomena and processes in nature in an accessible way. The event's coordinator, prof. dr hab. Robert Czerniawski - Director of the Institute of Biology at the University of Szczecin.
