On December 7th 2023, the ceremonial promotion of doctors and habilitated doctors took place at the Teaching and Research Center of Natural Sciences of the University of Szczecin. The doctoral and habilitation promotion ceremony is the University's scientific celebration. The University of Szczecin has expanded its academic circle by nine habilitated doctors and thirty doctors. For the first time in the history of the University of Szczecin, a doctoral degree was obtained by a graduate of the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin - Mrs. Weronika Brzozowska, who received a cash prize funded by Prof. Hab. Dr Maria Czerepaniak – Walczak for the doctoral student of the US Doctoral School who will be the first to obtain a doctoral degree.

The University of Szczecin's Open Days are underway. The event is addressed to high school students who will take the secondary school leaving examination in 2024 and intend to continue their education at higher education. The main goal of the organizers is to familiarize high school graduates with the educational offer of the University of Szczecin, as well as to show the educational facilities at the university. Visitors can take part in lectures, workshops and laboratories prepared by the university's scientific staff.

The University of Szczecin's Olympism Museum celebrates its first birthday. In the museum we will see many unique items. These are outfits, medals and memories from the Olympic Games. The museum collects souvenirs donated by students, graduates and employees of our University who took part in the Olympic Games. They include players, referees and coaches. The museum is a university-wide unit of the University of Szczecin, conducting research, teaching and popularization activities.
