A new mural on the building of the Pomeranian Library. It commemorates the Szczecin Synagogue and the pre-war Jewish community. The temple was built in the 19th century, replacing a small wooden synagogue. It could accommodate about 1,500 believers. The mural was unveiled on the 84th anniversary of Kristallnacht, during which the Szczecin synagogue was set on fire. It was then, on the night of November 9/10, 1938, that a pogrom of Jews initiated by the Nazi authorities took place. The author of the mural is Piotr "Lump" Pauk - an artist from Szczecin and one of the most recognizable street art artists in Poland.

This extraordinary record was broken on Tuesday, November 15, around 9:00 am Polish time. According to the estimates of the United Nations, another billion will come to us in 2037. As we read on the UN website: "This unprecedented increase is due to the gradual extension of human life expectancy thanks to improved public health, nutrition, personal care and medicine. It is also the result of high and sustained levels of fertility in some countries." Today, most people live in China. More than 1 billion 452 million people live there. India is second on the list with less than 1.413 million people, and in third place is the United States of America, where more than 335 million people live. Poland is in 38th place. There are over 38 million people in our country.
