Little guests from Ukraine with a visit to the rector of the University of Szczecin, Pearls of the Institute of Economics and Finance - awards of recognition for the best and The seventeenth edition of the Szczecin Film Festival 2022 from Thursday.

Point for children from Ukraine at the University of Szczecin with a visit to the Rector!  It was an exceptional meeting with the authorities of our university. During the visit to the Rector's  Office, little guests told the Rector's Authorities about whether it is difficult to learn Polish, what they think about our city and what they like to do in their free time.

The meeting was attended by: prof. dr hab. Waldemar Tarczyński - US Rector, dr hab. Renata Podgórzańska, prof. US - Vice-Rector for Education, dr hab. Jacek Batóg, prof. US - Vice-Rector for Finance, as well as Dr. Dorota Kowalewska, Rector's Plenipotentiary for Ukraine.

With the beginning of the school year, 33 children in two age groups: 5-6 years and 7-10 years, under the watchful eye of Natalia Kovalczuk and Maria Góra, fulfill their schooling obligation. Apart from the possibility of learning in the Ukrainian online school, children have Polish and English language classes and psychological and speech therapy support is provided.

The point for children from Ukraine at the University of Szczecin has been operating since June 20, in the premises of the US Student Culture Center, at ul. Szwoleżerów 18a.

Pearls of the Institute of Economics and Finance of the University of Szczecin were awarded. The Pearls of the Institute are the annual recognition awards of the Institute's Management, honoring the most scientifically active employees of the Institute of Economics and Finance.
This year, the Pearls of the Institute went to researchers who published highly scored publications, which entered the 2017-2021 discipline evaluation. The list of winners can be found on our website www.niusradio.pl

The 17th edition of Szczecin Film Festival is about to start Szczecin Film Festival is an annual film event organized by the OFFicyna Association, which explores the limits of cinema, and its main mission is a creative search. The festival starts next Thursday. The competition part discovers and presents the most interesting and the latest offers from creators from all over the world. This year, the films will be presented in two main competitions:

EUROPEAN COMPETITION - documentary cinema broadening and breaking the perception of the genre.
ZACHODNIOPOMORSKIE SHORTY - the newest and most interesting film productions of filmmakers associated with the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
