On January 26, 2023, a meeting of the Senate of the University of Szczecin was held, during which, among others, handing out congratulatory letters to distinguished employees of our University and presenting reports on the activities of the University Council and the US Doctoral School. During the session of the Senate, prof. dr hab. Waldemar Tarczyński - Rector of the University of Szczecin thanked the employees of our University for their work, scientific achievements and funding granted for the implementation of projects.

Mr. prof. dr hab. Adam Makowski received congratulations from the Rector of the US on the occasion of awarding him the title of professor by the President of the Republic of Poland. The Rector also congratulated Dr. Anna Małgorzata Linka from the Institute of Pedagogy of the US on receiving the Minister's Scholarship for Outstanding Young Scientists. During the session of the Senate, dr Barbara Bartkowiak - Chairwoman of the US Academic Council presented the Report of the US University Council. Then Dr. Jarosław Korpysa, prof. US - The Director of SD US presented the Report on the activities of the US Doctoral School. Information about the makeshift and the financial situation of Scholars was presented by dr hab. Jacek Batóg, prof. US - Vice-Rector for Finance and Andrzej Jakubowski, MA - Chancellor.

"Secrets of the teaching of the Second Vatican Council on the media" is the 6th Doctoral and Student Scientific Seminar of INT US, which took place on February 1 at the Institute of Theological Sciences of the University of Szczecin. The event was organized by the Interdisciplinary Circle of the US Doctoral School together with the US Faculty of Theology and the US Doctoral School.

The special guest was dr hab. Józef Majewski, prof. University of Gdańsk – theologian, media anthropologist, head of the Department of Journalism and Media. The meeting was led by Fr. dr hab. Andrzej Draguła, prof. U.S. The whole thing took place in a hybrid formula.

The participants of the meeting could learn about the abbreviated history of the Vatican Council, a linguistic analysis of Polish translations from its records, and find out what role the media play in building the role of the Church. At the end of the meeting, all participants could ask questions about the topic of the seminar.

Meeting, Mon. "The Charming World of Books from the Author to the Reader" was held in the Pomeranian Library on January 31. The discussion was attended by the academics of our University: dr hab. Piotr Krupinski, prof. US – Director of the Institute of Literature and New Media, prof. dr hab. Inga Iwasiów, dr hab. Angelo Rella, prof. US, who moderated the meeting, and the coordinator, Dr. Diana Del Mastro. It was the first meeting of the Szczecin series organized as part of the EU-Reading Circles program, which is to initiate a network of reading circles in Europe. The interlocutors

answered readers' questions. Among other things, they told about how the idea for a book is born, what is the role of the publisher, literary critic or reader.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Krzysztof Lichtblau - publisher, cultural animator, Przemysław Nowaczek - coordinator of Book Discussion Clubs, Lucjan Bąbolewski - Director of the Pomeranian Library. The meeting was co-organized by: the US Institute of Literature and New Media, the US Institute of Theological Sciences and the Pomeranian Library.
