The "WOŚP & UszRock charity concert - Together against sepsis!" has ended. Students and lecturers of our University performed on the stage at the Pralnia Student Club. The concert is one of the activities preceding the 31st Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity organized by the staff of the University of Szczecin, during which funds are collected for the fight against sepsis. The event was hosted by Dr. Aleksander Cywiński and Dr. Barbara Chojnacka - supervisor of the US Student Volunteering Circle. Between the concerts, bags and sweatshirts of the University of Szczecin were raffled off, and the evening ended with a party with music with a DJ.
On the 50th anniversary of Professor Leon Babiński's death, a commemorative plaque was unveiled and a debate devoted to the professor's life and work was held. The official unveiling was performed by Prof. dr hab. Waldemar Tarczyński - Rector of the University of Szczecin together with the professor's grandson - Wojsław Babiński. A plaque presenting Professor Leon Babiński's biography was placed in the auditorium named after him in the building of the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Management of the University of Szczecin at ul. Mickiewicza 64 in Szczecin.
How did the pandemic affect Szczecin? This is reported by the next issue of "Kronika Szczecina" published by the Institute of Political and Security Sciences of the University of Szczecin. The latest edition of the periodical published since 1983 had its premiere on January 12. The scientific editor is dr hab. Tomasz Czapiewski, prof. U.S. The publication contains articles reporting on the return to normality after the coronavirus epidemic. The theme of the previous issue was living in the coronavirus pandemic.
