The University of Szczecin received the Elsevier Research Impact Leaders Award 2021 in the category of humanities, for significant publishing progress for the humanities in Poland.

Elsevier has launched a project aimed at improving the perception of the scientific achievements of Polish universities in the world.

These activities include cooperation with leading scientific institutions that want to increase their chances of receiving grants, ensure better global recognition and increase the level of internationalization. Research Impact Leaders award, awarded for the first time in 2016, it is part of Elsevier's global initiative aimed at supporting research and development of science in many disciplines.

The awards are given to outstanding research institutions that have the greatest impact and contribution to scientific research for better recognition of Polish science in the world.

The Museum of Olympism of the University of Szczecin began its activity during the official inauguration.

The university authorities and invited guests took part in the opening. The ceremonial ribbon cutting was performed by the Rector of the University of Szczecin, prof. dr hab. Waldemar Tarczyński, Director of the American Olympic Museum, Dr. Jerzy Eider, prof. USA together with Ryszard Stadniuk, vice-president of the Polish Olympic Committee.

During the ceremony, Olympians and graduates were honored. It was Olympians associated with our University who so generously donated their memorabilia, medals for the museum.

Finally, an invitation. On Tuesday, December 6th, we will celebrate our first birthday.

The birthday meeting will be attended by the rector's authorities and the authorities of the Kołbaskowo Commune, students and graduates of the University of Szczecin, employees of our University, as well as residents of Szczecin and the region.

The event is a concert, and the star of the evening will be the finalist of "The Voice of Poland" - Łukasz Drapała & Chevy band.

The stage will also present: "Alarm" and "Lepiej nie będzie". The event will be inaugurated by a short recital by Adam Jamroz, who will play rock and roll covers on the classical flute. The event will take place on Tuesday, December 6 at 18.00, in the hospitable thresholds of the Municipal Center of Culture, Sport and Recreation in Przecław. Admission is free.
