1. On May 17, cooperation between the University of Szczecin and the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Szczecin was formalized. The concluded agreement is related to the opening of a new field of study: exploitation of natural resources - engineering studies at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences.

The meeting was attended by: prof. dr hab. Waldemar Tarczyński - Rector of the University of Szczecin, Ms Aleksandra Stodulna - Regional Director of Environmental Protection in Szczecin and dr hab. Eng. And Agnieszka Szlauer-Łukaszewska, prof. US, coordinator of the field of exploitation of natural resources.

The new direction is aimed at people interested in the comprehensive conditions of activities related to the exploitation of natural resources, which link their future with the management of broadly understood environmental resources. The study program takes into account the need for activities related to the assessment of the state of natural resources, designing rational exploitation and the preparation of modern methods of its implementation.

2. We invite you to free Polish language courses at the basic level for young people and adults (over 18 years of age), citizens of Ukraine residing in the Szczecin City Commune.

Classes will be held in the building of the US Faculty of Humanities at al. Piastów 40b, twice a week (2 teaching hours each) on two dates to choose from:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 18.00 – 19.30 or
  • Wednesdays and Fridays, 18.00 - 19.30

In the application, please provide your name and surname, e-mail address for contact and the selected date of classes. Registration is open until May 22 this year. Or until the limit of places (150 people) is reached.

3. The Celtology Science Club of the University of Szczecin is organizing a Celtic Ceila meeting.

The event will take place on May 25, at 19:15 in the inter-faculty library hall at al. Piastów 40b, in building number 3.

The program includes:

- Irish dance show and workshops conducted by members of Sedinum Celticum,
- concert of playing the bagpipes performed by Witold Konopka And student presentations.
