1. The Pedagogy Institute of the University of Szczecin invites you to participate in the international scientific conference "University at the frontier. Science. Man. Environment", which will be held at the Wolin hotel in Międzyzdroje, on 19-22 May. The event will be conducted in Polish and English. During the conference, three dimensions related to the functioning of the university are discussed:
- Generation and dissemination of multidisciplinary knowledge and its possible applications - especially in education, taking into account the social responsibility of science,
- Man and his educational, intellectual, existential and social needs as well as realized in cooperation based on trust, towards building a community.
-Environmental impact based on the principles of sustainable development.
The conference is co-financed by the Ministry of Education and Science as part of the "Excellent Science" program.
2. May 25 at 4.30 p.m. at the Institute of Theological Sciences of the US, located at ul. Papieża Pawła VI 2, the 2nd Doctoral-Student Scientific Seminar will be held, organized by the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Research on Christianity, the Institute of Theological Sciences of the University of Szczecin and the Interdisciplinary Circle of the Doctoral School of the US "IKSDUS".
The theme of the meeting is "Editorial Criticism (Redaktionsgeschichte) and elements of other methods of studying the biblical text on the basis of selected examples". The event will be part of the "Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Christian Research" series.
The seminar's expert will be Fr. Prof. dr hab. Mariusz Rosik - researcher at the Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Wrocław, and the meeting leaders - Fr. dr hab. Cezary Korzec prof. US.
The meeting will also be held via the Microsoft Teams platform. Registration is open until May 23, and registered participants will receive the text that will be discussed during the seminar, as well as a link to the online event. For participation in the event, participants will receive a personal certificate.
3. On Wednesday, May 18, from 9.00-15.00 will be the Day of the Law of Uniformed Services - a celebration of one of the newer faculties of our University! The field of study is interdisciplinary and combines knowledge in the field of social, legal and economic sciences. The Faculty of Law and Administration of the US has prepared a presentation of the course offer and interesting lectures for this time:
- "Cooperation of the prosecutor's office with the police - practical remarks" (prosecutor Jadwiga Kułakowska-Gorczyńska)
- "Forensic identification on the basis of tests performed at the Forensic Laboratory of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Szczecin" (Dr. Wojciech Achrem)
- "About something that does not exist" - that is, about the operational work of the Police.
The Law Day of Uniformed Services will be attended by representatives who will present the specifics of their activities and the prospects of starting a professional career in them. In addition, the organizers have prepared a number of different attractions.
